What did the merchants who came to Babylon from the north sell?

Babylon was a major trade center. Merchants from the north could bring to this city leather goods, skins of northern animals (including very expensive and valuable ones), weapons, handicrafts, minerals (possibly), amber. Probably, the northerners could bring a variety of fabrics and materials. A separate and one of the most profitable articles of trade was the trade in slaves, who were captured during military campaigns. Slaves were used in a wide variety of jobs, from a quarry to an administrative employee (depending on education and ability).
