What did the summer and winter dwellings of primitive people look like?

The summer dwellings of primitive hunter-gatherers were not permanent. They were primitive huts with a frame made of thick branches, covered with the skins of hunted animals. The huts reached no more than 2.5 meters in diameter, and were also not large in height.

To survive the ice age, ancient people needed to do something more solid for themselves. An example of the latter is the dwelling found in Kostenki. It was about 35 meters long and about 15 meters wide. In the center, every 2 meters, there were hearth pits. The main living area was bordered along the contour by dugouts, and fireplaces were also found in them. And the roof had a frame made of tusks and large mammoth bones.
