What did you eat in ancient Mesopotamia?

Each house had an oven in which cakes were baked. Even in ancient Mesopotamia, there was already onion and garlic. Residents ate porridge and vegetables. There was a huge amount of fish, but there was little meat. The inhabitants were mainly fishermen and farmers. There were very few livestock, so dairy products were eaten only on holidays. The food was eaten with oil and spices, and even wine and beer were produced. Beer, in a sense, was a substitute for water, water was very bad and highly valued, so it was replaced with such drinks.
