What difficulties did Napoleon face during his stay in Moscow?

On September 2, Napoleon’s troops entered Moscow, and the occupation of the capital of the empire lasted for a month. Prior to this, most of the residents left the capital, about 40 thousand people remained in the city. Immediately, the problem arose of the supply of food, control over the soldiers and officers, who quickly turned into marauders, and fires began in various parts of the city, most of which were perpetrated by Muscovites. Soon Moscow turned into one huge torch. The invaders were forced to ingloriously leave the capital of Russia.
