A physical quantity is the number of objects that are material objects. The number does not have to represent any particular number of elements, but simply the number in the equation. An example of a physical quantity is 5 chairs, 2 apples, 9 cars, etc. A physical quantity is always measured by natural inanimate objects (inanimate objects), while a number is always displayed with a corresponding digit (1-9).
