What do biblical and Sumerian myths have in common?

What they have in common is that the flood that occurred flooded the whole earth, and that one family was saved. The hero of the biblical story is called Noah, and the hero of the Sumerian story is Utnapishti. In the stories about Gilgamesh, Utnapishti is mentioned as an ancient man who knows the source of eternal life.
