What do progress and modernization have in common?

Both of these processes imply a movement from the old to the new, from the lowest to the highest, development. Modernization is often progress. Modernization involves updating the facility, bringing it to new, modern standards. Modernization in society is manifested in the transition from an old, agrarian society to a developed, industrial and post-industrial society. Progress is a broader concept. There is disagreement on the wording of this concept. Example: progressive disease. This leads to a worsening of the patient’s condition, and not to recovery and improvement.

One of the components of a person's success in our time is receiving modern high-quality education, mastering the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for life in society. A person today needs to study almost all his life, mastering everything new and new, acquiring the necessary professional qualities.
