What do we distinguish before sweet or bitter?

We distinguish taste (sour, bitter, salty, sweet, etc.) with the help of receptors located on the tongue. They are sensors for various chemical molecules that enter the body. The quality and quantity of receptors is genetically inherent, therefore, individually for each person. But, although there are many more bitter receptors, we feel the sweet taste earlier. This can be explained by the fact that the main part of the sensors for sweet is located on the tip of the tongue, and bitter – closer to the root.
