What do you know about the establishment of Roman rule over the entire Mediterranean?

When Rome in the 3rd century BC. conquered all of Italy and annexed the Latin, Etruscan and Greek poleis to his possessions, then Carthage, Macedonia, the Seleucid state and the Greek poleis of Hellas dominated the Mediterranean Sea. Three large-scale wars took place between Rome and Carthage, as a result of which Rome was conquered by Carthage itself in the 2nd century BC. At the beginning of the 2nd century, Rome also won victories over Macedonia and the Seleucids, and then conquered the Greek poleis and established dominance in the Mediterranean.
