What do you know about the Spartan Council of Elders?

The Council of Elders in Sparta was one of the oldest government bodies. It was called Gerousie. Its participants were 30 members, of which 28 were gerons, who were elected after 60 years and held this position posthumously. There were also two kings in this council.
