What do you see the sources and causes of the terror during the Great French?

The sources of terror during the French Revolution were radical parties and their leaders. The most terrible time is considered the period of mass executions – the “era of terror”. It began on September 5, 1793, when a national convention established a new regime to defend the revolution, led by the Jacobins. It ended with the Thermidorian coup at the end of July 1794, the overthrow of the Jacobins and the execution of Robespierre. The reasons for the proliferation of mass executions during this period were the inter-party struggle for power and the persecution of counter-revolutionaries, speculators and royalists.
