What do you think is most important for a good parent-child relationship? why?

It seems to me that the most important thing for a good relationship between children and parents is trust between them. If a child trusts his parents, then first of all he will tell them about his successes, and about experiences, about the problems and worries that have arisen. He will not have to hide them, drive them deeper. Delaying the resolution of the problem can lead to tragic consequences. If the parents trust the child, then they will not have to constantly control him, because excessive control does not cause anything except protest in the teenager. Trust makes it possible to give the child more freedom in both decision-making and actions, makes him independent, prepares him for later life.
