What do you think prompted the Mongols to make distant conquest campaigns?

In the period from the 11th to the 14th century, the Mongol tribes had a clear advantage over other states and tribes. Thanks to their capabilities, they captured the Asian and Western lands, including Russia. The reason for their movement across the continent was the need for pastures. Also, the motivation for the conquest of new territories was the thirst for profit. The Mongols enriched themselves by plundering the territories of other states. This allowed them to have wealth and lead a luxurious life, not doing anything other than cattle breeding and robbery.
