What do you think, was it possible to stop the aggression of the fascist states in Europe? Why was it not possible to do this?

I think this is extremely unlikely. The threat of Nazism was not considered particularly significant in the society and leadership of Western countries at that time. They feared Russia more.

There were (and not groundlessly) hopes and plans to direct Germany against the USSR, and to sit on the sidelines themselves, and even get a benefit.

Even in Europe itself, there was no unity. Everyone played for themselves. In particular, Poland, through agreements with Hitler, sought to seize part of the territory of Czechoslovakia.

After the First World War, no one except the Germans, who were then defeated, wanted to fight.
