I hope it will not come to a full-scale nuclear war, but conflicts with the limited use of nuclear weapons are quite likely. This is due to the fact that, firstly, an increasing number of countries have nuclear weapons and their delivery vehicles. Second, missile defense is being improved. In these conditions, politicians from the United States may well develop the opinion that their missile defense system may well, for example, repel a North Korean strike. America itself has experience with absolutely impunity in the use of nuclear weapons in World War II.

Self-driving cars and airplanes will become widespread somewhere in the middle of the 21st century. Here, if there is a barrier, it is purely psychological. Many may find it a little comfortable to fly in an airplane in which there is no human pilot.

In the second half of the 21st century, humanoid robots will appear that will be able to do all the work performed in the homes of wealthy people by servants, butlers, etc. I don’t want to write about humanoid robot soldiers, but they will most likely also appear. Spetsnaz, of course, will not be replaced, but they will be able to perform the functions of ordinary infantry.

With the help of gene therapy, a person will be able to treat many genetic diseases. Scientific stations and bases, and possibly permanent settlements, will appear on the Moon and Mars.

If large-scale wars do not happen, it will be possible to avoid the practical use of science and technology to destroy people, then the standard of living of the overwhelming majority of the world’s population will increase significantly, even in poor countries.
