For a long time, the main doctrine for the United States of America in the foreign policy arena was and remains the position that the state must do everything in order to eliminate threats to the democratic system and the citizens of the United States. To do this, according to their doctrine, Americans can intervene in any business that occurs anywhere in the world in their own interests. It cannot be said that such an approach allowed one hundred percent to successfully conduct US foreign policy, because sometimes it helped them, and sometimes, like Afghanistan and Iraq, did not allow them to achieve their goals.
