What does Darwin’s theory claim?

The statement that Darwin considered the ape to be the ancestor of man is not entirely correct. Darwin’s theory says that the modern human species descended from a common ancestor with monkeys – Dreopithecus. Darwin suggested that in the changing environmental conditions, our distant ancestors mutated, their mutations turned out to be useful, and the human race evolved, finally reaching the highest point of its development. Darwin’s theory has been the main theory of the origin of man as a species for many years.
