What does it mean to measure any force?
March 31, 2021 | education
| Like any other physical quantity, force can be measured. It has its own unit of measurement, in the SI system it is Newton (N). A force of 1 newton imparts an acceleration of 1 meter per second squared to a body weighing 1 kg.
To measure a force means to find its numerical value and compare by how much or by how much the result is greater than a value equal to 1 newton.
The force can be measured by various methods: direct – directly measured using a device, for example, a dynamometer; indirectly – calculate the value using the formula: F = m * c2 (Force is equal to mass multiplied by acceleration squared).
