What does latitude show? What does geographic longitude show?

Geographic latitude and longitude together make up the coordinates of the area. The latitude of the area is calculated from the equator, and, depending on the location to the north or south of it, is called the north and south latitude, respectively. The maximum degree of latitude is 90 °, with which the poles are designated.
Longitude is measured from the prime meridian, which has a degree of 0 °. To the east of it, east longitude is counted, and to the west – west. In both directions, the longitude reaches a maximum angle of 180 °.
