What does the thoracic section of an insect consist of?

The thoracic section of the insect consists of three segments. These segments include the following – prothorax, mesothorax and metathorax. For strength, the listed segments are reinforced not only with additional seams, but also with elements of the insect’s internal skeleton.
In addition, the structural basis of the thoracic region is sclerites connected to each other and being the basis to which the muscles are attached, or part of the exoskeleton. Sclerites are chitinous scutes that cover each segment.
In addition, it should be noted that usually there are
1.) dorsal sclerites, which are otherwise called tergites,
2.) abdominal or sternites, and
3.) lateral or playrites.
It is also important that on each segment of the insect’s chest there is a pair of legs, and in winged insects the mesothorax and metathorax also bear a pair of wings.
