What effect does the movement of water, air, ice have on rocks?

Flowing water, changes in air temperature or movement (wind), ice formation and melting cause corrosion, i.e. decomposition, rocks. On the other hand, these same phenomena form breeds of a new origin. For example, volcanic rocks under the influence of the listed factors decompose and become sedimentary. Sedimentary rocks, in turn, under the influence of water can become metamorphic rocks.
