| The parasympathetic and sympathetic divisions form the autonomic (autonomic) nervous, it regulates the work of internal organs (vascular lumen, intestinal peristalsis, secretion of digestive juices, increased / slowed heart rate) regardless of the will of the person. The action of these two divisions is interrelated, but opposite in effect: the sympathetic system acts at the moment of stress, the parasympathetic – at the moments of rest and safety of the body.
