What electrolytes are ionic?
February 7, 2021 | education
| Crystals that have an ionic lattice are perfectly soluble in water, and their solutions have high electrical conductivity. Ionic bonds of electrolytes are alkalis and soluble salts.
KOH = K (+) + OH (-);
Na2SO4 = 2Na (+) + SO4 (-2);
NaI = Na (+) + I (-);
KCl = K (+) + Cl (-).
Ionic crystals do not conduct electricity in solid form, because they have electrons firmly held in the atomic orbitals of individual ions.
