What element’s atomic nuclei do not contain neutrons?

The only element that has no neutrons in its core is hydrogen.

When it comes to elements, there are different types of the same element called isotopes. The isotope of hydrogen, which has only a proton in its nucleus, is called protium, and it is the most abundant isotope of hydrogen. An isotope with one proton and one neutron is called deuterium. An isotope with one proton and two neutrons is called tritium.

Regardless of the isotope, there is only one electron for hydrogen, which balances the proton.
