What energy transformations occur when the ball rises and falls?

As the lead ball rises, its potential energy increases. When this ball falls, the potential energy decreases as it falls, turning into kinetic energy, which accordingly increases with increasing speed. After the ball hits the plate, its potential and kinetic energies will be equal to zero, but the mechanical energy did not disappear, but turned into another form of energy – heat.
