What entertainment did the peasants have?

At different times, the peasants had different entertainments. In the past, these were various games. The people amused themselves on the holidays. The scope of the festivities was especially wide in winter. There was no work in the field and there was a lot of free time. The people rode down the hills, built snow fortresses and started a war with snowballs. It was after the end of the harvest that weddings took place en masse. Nativity scenes were held at Christmas. In the summer there was a holiday of Ivan Kupala, which the Christian church could not destroy for more than 1000 years. Until very recently, wealthy households could afford to invite a well-known musical group, launch fireworks, and set tables richly for everyone.
