What era do historians call new time?

A rather long period of time is called modern time: from the 16th to the 19th century. The beginning of the New Age coincided with the end of the Middle Ages – a dark time in the history of mankind, where the church reigned. The main features of the modern era can be called humanism (philanthropy), denial of the all-consuming power of God, gradual technological progress and improvement of scientific knowledge. Man was not proclaimed a sinner, as was the case in the Middle Ages, but a creator, a ruler of nature, to whom everything is subject. As for politics, the modern era was rich in revolutions and coups d’état. The modern era ended with the outbreak of the First World War.
