What eras is the history of the ancient world divided into?

The history of the Ancient World can be divided into two eras:
* The Ancient East.
* Antiquity.
The history of the states of the Ancient East should be counted from the turn of the 4th-3rd millennium BC, it was then that statehood appeared on the territory of Egypt, Mesopotamia (Sumerians), in Elam, on the territory of modern Pakistan (Harappa). The history of the ancient world continued until the Hellenistic era, that is, the 4th century BC, when the army of Alexander the Great reached the Indus River. Further, the history of India, Korea and China refers to the history of the Ancient East, and the history of the Mediterranean – to antiquity.
