What events were a fundamental turning point in the Second World War and the Great Patriotic War?

The turning points during the Second World War can be called: the Battle of Moscow (1941-1942), the Battle of Stalingrad (1942-1943) and the Battle of Kursk (1943). The turning point in the war became possible because the German troops were exhausted and very stretched, and the Soviet Union was able to accumulate strength and launch a counterattack, which the Germans could not withstand. A special turning point was the Battle of Stalingrad, thanks to which the southern group of fascist troops was completely defeated, in connection with which the enemy’s advance to the east became impossible.
