What explains the growth of plant organs?

Plants have a cellular structure. Each cell divides every minute and gives rise to new ones. Only young shoots have the ability to divide. Growth focuses on improving living conditions. The stem is drawn towards the sun so that its leaves receive as much light as possible. It also grows in thickness in order to hold all parts of the plant. Castings are increased to synthesize even more organic matter. The root tends to go deeper into the soil, as there is more water and minerals. And the fruit develops for the seed to ripen – this gives the plant the opportunity to multiply.
