What fabrics are made from chemical fibers?

Chemical fibers are obtained by complex chemical processing of various natural raw materials. They are divided into synthetic and artificial.

Synthetic – nitron, lavsan, nylon. They are made from organic matter extracted from coal and oil.

Artificial – viscose, acetate. They are made from rubber, cellulose, casein (milk protein), cotton fluff.

Chemical fibers are very strong and elastic, they hardly wrinkle. But they do not absorb water well (this reduces the hygienic properties of clothing), melt at high temperatures.
