What feature of socio-economic development is not typical for the developing countries of Foreign Asia?

Most of the Asian countries in the last century were colonial possessions of developed European countries or the United States. Colonial policy meant primarily the exploitation of the natural and human resources of these countries in order to maximize profits. Liberation from colonial dependence created the prerequisites for a rapid growth in the population, the formation of a multi-structured economy, the branches of which must ensure the satisfaction of material needs. A high standard of living for such countries is not a characteristic feature.
