What form of government where power is inherited?

Power is inherited only under absolute monarchy, when the king transfers the throne to his son and so on. In Europe, this form of government was called absolutism, but in Russia this type of government is called autocracy. Such forms of government are characteristic of medieval times, right up to bourgeois revolutions. But in Russia this form of government existed until the beginning of the 20th century. Today, monarchies exist in a number of Asian countries, for example Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and others.
