a) sweat – help to maintain a constant body temperature, cooling its surface, in addition, they participate in excretion (absent in a dog);
b) greasy – they secrete a wax-like substance that helps to retain moisture in the skin, makes the wool waterproof;
c) lactic – the release of milk during the feeding period of the young;
d) odorous – the smell is a means of communication and protection (for example, in a skunk).
