What goals did the USSR pursue in the international arena after the end of World War II?

Everyone knows that the USSR planned to defeat Hitler during World War II, and then impose its ideology on weakened Western countries. Since this was not achieved, the USSR tried to impose its ideology after the war. Also, the country opposed the capitalist world, thus the world was divided into two camps.
