What groups are the mountains divided into by height?

A mountain is an elevation of the earth relative to its surroundings to a height of 305 m and more. All mountains can be divided into several groups according to the characteristics:
* age – there are young and old;
* origin – volcanic (formed as a result of volcanic eruptions), tectonic (formed as a result of plate movement, earthquakes);
* altitude – low (up to 1000 m), medium-altitude (from 1000 to 2000 m), high (over 2000 m), the highest (over 8000 m).
