What grows under conifers?

It can be problematic to create vegetation under the canopy of coniferous trees. Shade and lack of moisture are problems in these conditions, but there are a number of plants that are not afraid of these conditions.

Where soil moisture is good, a wider range of plants can be grown. Plants such as bluebells, bergenia, lily and hardy cyclamen, clustered around the base of the trunk, will mainly bloom in spring.

Planting under trees with low or branching branches is more limited. Common ivy grows even in the most adverse conditions.
