What happens in a Rh-negative woman’s body if she carries an Rh-positive baby in her first pregnancy.

The Rh factor is an indicator that determines in the body the presence (then the person is considered Rh-positive) or the absence (then the person is Rh-negative) of a special protein. This fact is very important when planning a pregnancy. If a woman has a positive Rh factor, the child is not in danger, regardless of his Rh factor. If the mother’s Rh factor is negative, with a Rh-positive child, a protective mechanism is activated that tries to eliminate the foreign body, which can lead to termination of pregnancy.
