What happens to the body after vaccination?

During vaccination, a biological preparation, a vaccine, is injected into the human or animal organism. It can contain live bacteria or viruses, killed microorganisms or just their particles. After the drug is introduced into the body, immunity cells – lymphocytes – meet with it. A special group of them – B-lymphocytes – produce special proteins – antibodies. Antibodies are capable of destroying these specific microorganisms. Information about these antibodies is stored in the memory of B-lymphocytes for many years. Therefore, if a person encounters an infection in life, then he will avoid illness.
