Hydrochloric acid – HCl, sodium hydroxide – NaOH.
When they react with an acid with a base (or hydroxide), salt and water are obtained, in this case the salt is sodium chloride (formula NaCl).
The reaction equation looks like this:
NaOH + HCl = NaCl + H2O
Answer: Salt and water.
