What has changed in local governance as a result of the Henry II reform?

The reforms had the following consequences:

1) the royal judges were vowels;

2) every person could freely apply to the royal court;

3) “shield money” was introduced, which made it possible not to go to war; at the expense of these contributions, the king hired a professional army;

4) Sheriffs and royal officials were strengthened to reduce the influence of the feudal lords;

5) There was a restoration of the people’s militia, which could support the king in the war against the feudal lords.
