What ideas about the origin of man are found in ancient legends and tales?

If you look at the Bible, then God created man from the earth in his likeness, and then breathed life into his face. And man ruled over all the beasts. But God did not want man to be alone. “But out of all the animals there was not found a helper equal to man. Then the Lord God brought a deep sleep to man; when he fell asleep, God took out one of his ribs, made a woman out of this rib and brought her to a man.”
