What ideas of genetics are reflected in the worldview of people?

Genetics greatly influenced the consciousness of people and literally turned over many ideas about the world. First of all, this science has finally confirmed the evolution of living and the origin of man and apes from a common ancestor. Also, genetics helped us create new plant varieties and animal breeds. Many people are against such advances, but do not forget that genetic engineering is safe and helped to defeat hunger in many countries in Africa. Moreover, without these new species, we ourselves would suffer from hunger, since there are already more than seven billion people.
