The accumulation of oxygen in the atmosphere directly influenced the evolutionary process. Thanks to this, living organisms have acquired adaptations and organs in order to get out of the water and begin to adapt to life on land. Also, the presence of oxygen in a gaseous state made it possible to increase in the size of existing organisms. But oxygen alone was not enough. Evolution was influenced by many factors, including the presence of other gases in the atmosphere, temperature, atmospheric pressure, and other features.
