What is called soil fertility? What does it depend on?

Soil fertility is a special property of the soil that allows it to be a nutritious substrate for plants. Fertility includes a number of soil properties:

– the presence of organic substances in it;

– the amount of water, moreover, both the lack of water and its excess are bad;

– the presence of minerals in the soil;

– the presence of animals that improve the quality of the soil, for example, earthworms;

– soil composition (ratio of sandy, clayey and hard rocks).

It is from these properties, and, in particular, from their balance, that soil fertility will depend.
