What is characteristic of the interphase?

Interphase is a period of time between two divisions. There are 3 periods:
1) Presynthetic (active cell growth and intensive metabolism)
2) Synthetic (replication (duplication) of DNA molecules occurs)
3) Post-synthetic (doubling of centrioles, accumulation of nutrients for further division)
