What is Church Hierarchy?

Hierarchy is, in a way, a service list, starting from the head of the church – the Patriarch. And then the metropolitans, bishops, priests and so on down to the lower strata. Simply put, from director to foreman. It is also divided into two parts – white clergy and black. The latter includes the monastic ministers of the church, including the metropolitans and the Patriarch himself. To the white clergy – priests and ministers who are allowed to live in a secular way, i.e. have a family.
