What is common and what is the difference between mosses and algae?

Mosses and algae are representatives of the plant kingdom, they are united by the fact that their cells contain special plastid organelles, which contain the chlorophyll pigment. Both representatives participate in photosynthesis and release oxygen into the atmosphere. Mosses and algae grow all their lives and lead an immobile lifestyle. The main difference between these plants is that algae are considered to be inferior and mosses are considered to be superior plants. In algae, the body is represented only by the thallus, while in mosses, a stem, leaves and rhizoids (an organ similar to roots) stand out.
