What is formed as a result of the reaction between sodium carbonate and sulfuric acid (Na2CO3 + HCl)?

Na2CO3 + 2HCl = H2CO3 + 2NaCl – in the reactions between salt and acid, cations are replaced with the formation of new salts and new acids. So the sodium carbonate salt, reacting with hydrochloric acid, will form a new salt – sodium chloride and new carbonic acid. Carbonic acid is not a persistent acid and it will immediately decompose into carbon dioxide and water: Na2CO3 + 2HCl = H2O + CO2 + 2NaCl.
