What is formed during the hydrolysis of maltose?

Maltose is a hydrolysis product of polysaccharides (starch) and is an oligosaccharide (disaccharide). The general scheme of carbohydrate hydrolysis starting from polysaccharides is as follows:
Starch -> Dextrin -> Maltose -> Glucose
(C6H10O5) n -> (C6H10O5) x -> C12H22O11 -> C6H12O6
Actually, during the hydrolysis of one maltose molecule, two glucose molecules are formed, which can be confirmed by the following chemical equation:
C12H22O11 + H2O = 2C6H12O6
This proves once again that oligosaccharides have a connection with monosaccharides.
